Editorial Climate change and biodiversity As an indicator of our concern, and commitment to action, we present the first of a series of reviews in which we identify areas of research in livestock production systems in the tropics that directly relate to ways in which emissions of greenhouse gases reduced or sequester and biodiversity are strengthened. The first of these reviews is presented in this issue of LRRD with the title: Adapting systems of livestock production to be compatible with global commitments to restore the health of planet Earth; ecosystems that remove atmospheric carbon and provide food, feed and renewable energy; T R Preston, R A Leng and María E Gomez Z. We look forward to receiving papers that relate to the research issues that have been highlighted. |
